Feelin' all Goth-y.

My first attempt at bracelets (or cuffs, whatever) went alright. I was expecting more, though. The thread is a little tough to work with and so is the teeny needle I'm learning how to use!

I've been wearing this one to work. I like it, but I'd prefer something "lighter."

Sweet buttons, huh?

I'm trying to get a pic of it actually on my arm, but I realized (a little late in life, I suppose) that I actually have very strange looking hands. Sorta vein-y and not all that cute.

Anyone want to hand-model?

Knittin' in My Sweatpants, Yo.

I know it's still too warm for scarves, but I wanted to get a jump start. People never request scarves until it's already cold outside, and by then I just don't have much time! This one is made out of a wool/acrylic blend, which is incredibly soft and fluffy (and easy to clean).

The label says it's "raspberry"... I'm pretty sure I have some lip gloss this color...

Since I'm getting a head start, I may have something already made that you might like. If not, let me know and I'll get to work!!

Next, I will start hats.... :)

Etsy!!

Yay! I just posted my stuff on Etsy. My username is LoverlyLaura, and the shop is www.LoverlyLaura.etsy.com. Go have a looksee!

Meanwhile, Back at the Farm...

My cousin requested a set of farm animals for her son's birthday party. I think she's going to give them away to the party-goers! I'm super excited.

I practiced making a duck and I think he turned out pretty well. Next on my list are cows, horses, pigs, sheep, and maybe a chicken or two. I think the chickens may turn out to be a little difficult, but we'll see.

I'll post more pictures of my farm animals as they are completed.

Halloween!

I finished up my Halloween stuff! I don't think I'm going to make any more, unless I get specific requests. Time to move on to Christmas. Anyway, here they are for your viewing pleasure:

A wee little black cat. His tail stands straight up; an ode to our own (recently deceased) black cat, Hightail.

A friendly pumpkin and some candy corn...

And a happy ghost. He also happens to be my favorite!

Crochetville Forum

Crochetville is a forum I stumbled across today. It's proving to be really helpful! They have all kinds of patterns, tips, and even some online classes.

On another note, I finished up a black cat and some Halloween candy last night. The cat turned out very cute, but I'm having trouble getting the candy just right. Today I'll finish up another ghostie, and this weekend my step-mom offered to take them with her to a craft show!

We'll see how that turns out; I know crocheted stuff isn't everyone's cup of tea, but they make adorable baby/kids' toys and gifts.

I'll post the pictures when I have them ready!

Two New Guys

I made these two guys while on a rather long car trip this weekend. Ghostie was really easy, but I had a harder time with the bat. I couldn't quite get the wings right, and now I think they kind of just look like really big ears...haha, oh well!

I'm going to try again on another bat, but soon I'll be moving on to some Christmas stuff!
